Tracking Resources for Health Impact Assessment: Informing Decision Making in Oregon
Nancy
M. Goff coordinates outreach for the Oregon Environmental Public Health
Tracking Program as well as Oregon’s
new Health Impact Assessment Initiative. In both of these roles she works to
make environmental and health data and information available for more informed
decision making at the individual, community, organizational and policy levels.
She is also working to build capacity to conduct Health Impact Assessment
around the state of Oregon
by training community leaders and public health practitioners. Prior to this
position, Nancy
worked on a community-based participatory research project involving farm worker
health at Portland Columbia River Crossing project with the Multnomah County
Health Department. She has over 8 years experience organizing various research
and community projects, and a strong interest in the links between health and
place. Nancy has a BS in Cognitive Psychology
from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a Masters in Public
Health with a concentration in sustainability from Portland State
University.
