Douglas Colorado Nitrate Study: Lessons Learned

 

Speaker:         Warren S. Brown

Warren is a Colorado Registered Professional Engineer.  He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver.  He is currently employed as a Public Health Engineer with the Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) in Greenwood Village, Colorado, where he has worked since 1990.  He is responsible for overseeing the Individual Sewage Disposal System (ISDS) program at TCHD.  He is past president of the Colorado Professionals in Onsite Wastewater (CPOW).  In addition to ISDS, Warren also reviews land development referrals from counties and municipalities for public health issues, and has worked extensively with solid waste disposal facilities. 

 

Speaker:         Hope Dalton

Hope Dalton is a Registered Environmental Manager, holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Environmental Management, Policy, and Law and has a Chemistry undergraduate degree.  She serves Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) as a Water Specialist.  Her duties include water quality assessments, working with utilities and watershed groups, and answering questions from the public regarding public water systems, private wells and watershed protection.  Prior to TCHD she worked at a local municipality in a water quality laboratory studying the water quality of drinking water, stormwater runoff, and shallow wells on a local golf course.  She also has experience studying water quality in connection with coal bed methane drilling, coal-fired utilities, and climate changes over time.
