Presentation: Integrating Traditional Emergency Response Methods into the Local Health Department's Preparedness Procedures
Kevin G. Sumner is Health Officer and Director of the Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission, a local public health agency providing public and environmental health services to six municipalities in central New Jersey where he has worked for the past 22 years. Kevin received his Masters in Public Health from the UMDNJ/Rutgers School of Public Health in 1994 with concentrations in Environmental and Occupational Health and Health Education. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University with majors in Biology and Classical Humanities.
Kevin has also been actively involved in emergency response and emergency medicine, which has led to the development of relationships between traditional emergency response agencies and the health department and has enhanced the ability of the health department to respond to and participate in emergency events.
