Ms. Vallone-Hood has been employed by the Florida Department of Health for 18 years. Seventeen years were spent working as an Environmental Specialist, health inspector, conducting various programmatic inspections and providing education to both the public and industry.
She has worked in the body piercing program since its implementation in 1999, providing both regulation and education to this industry. In 2006, she took the position of Environmental Manager and currently oversees the body piercing, biomedical waste and medical quality assurance programs for the state of Florida.
