Speaker:           Paula M. Tanner, REHS, MPH

 

Presentation:     Some Cross-Connections Present with Very Interesting Visual Clues

 

 

Ms. Tanner graduated from San Diego State University with an Environmental Health Microbiology degree, followed by a Masters in Public Health.

 

She has been a registered Environmental Health Specialist in California for 24 years, spending 16 years with the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health, and has now been in the private industry for the past 10 years, working as en epidemiologist for Jack in the Box. 

 

Ms Tanner has published articles on foodborne outbreaks in which she was involved in the investigations, and has taught food science and safety courses at local community colleges and universities for many years.

 

Ms. Tanner has been a NEHA member for over 20 years and a long time member of IAFP.

 

Ms. Tanner’s graduate thesis involved various analyses of cross-connection events, a topic of interest since her undergraduate school days and has continued to research such events just for self-edification.
