Presentation:     Understanding the Impact of Study Design on Results:  A Comparison of Two Radioactive Iodine Studies in Washington State

 

 

Captain Steve Inserra has served as a senior level epidemiologist with ATSDR for the past 8 years, and served 18 years with the US Public Health Service.

 

Captain Inserra’s duties include conducting applied epidemiological research and consulting to state and local health departments regarding hazardous substances exposures.  Captain Inserra has made many professional presentations and has published papers regarding health risks from toxic substances.

 

Caroline Cusack is an epidemiologist with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry in Atlanta, Georgia.  Ms. Cussack has 15 years experience as an epidemiologist and holds a Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina.

 

Ms. Cusack’s current research interests focus on the effects of environmental exposures in humans with an emphasis on developing and maintaining national chemical exposure registries.
