Speaker:           Rosemarie G. Ramos, PhD, MPH

 

Presentation:     Community Urbanization and Hospitalization of Adults for Asthma

 

 

Dr. Ramos completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2000, majoring in Biology, with the summers of 1999 and 2000 spent at the NIH Bethesda campus as a summer trainee.  Graduate studies were conducted at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, obtaining her Master of Public Health in 2003 and PhD in Public Health in 2005 both in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.

 

Dr. Ramos returned to the NIH as a Health Disparities post doctoral fellow, and is currently under the mentorship of Dr. Ken Olden at the NIEHS campus in RPT, NC. 

 

Dr. Ramos’ scientific interests include development of environmental health indicators and improving the translation of biomedical research results into practice and policy to reduce disparate health outcomes.
