that, she worked for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, The Illinois Dept
of Public Health, and the Winnebago County Health Department in
Working through an AFDO affiliate, Shirley developed the original protocol for retail vacuum packaging which was then incorporated into the FDA Food Code. She has continued working with ROP through the later amendments.
